The Java Trench
The Java Trench is a continuation of the Sunda Trench, where the oceanic part of the Australian Plate is being subducted beneath the continental Eurasian Plate. Volcanism throughout Sumatra and Java is as a result of the trench and it's seismic activity. There are many interesting and unique features, such as the longest underwater mountain range, that make up the Java Trench.
